    The Indispensable Dad

    – is not a disposable dad that can easily be discarded or thrown away

    – cannot be forgotten or left out

    – is not missing in action or separated

    – is not distant or discontented

    – is not optional or an accessory

    – cannot be replaced or returned

    – cannot be substituted or exchanged

    – is essential, necessary a d a prerequisite to the family structure

    – is the foundation, the pillar.and the nuts and bolts in the home

    – is the antidote, answer, solution and healing for society and life’s greatest sicknesses

    – is the hero, champion and superstar in our world

    – is the protector, provider, problem-solver and visionaries within their family

    – is selfless, sacrificing and surrendered to his duty of fatherhood

    – make us soar higher, run faster, leap farther, believe stronger, hope bigger and our faith deeper

    – give us the security, confidence and self-esteem that we all desperately need

    – the Indispensable Dad has bowed his knee to the Lord Jesus Christ and is a humble, broken and repentant man of God.

    Excerpt from Levi Lusko’s book “Through the eyes of a Lion”

    Night is coming – for you and for me. Getting to heaven has nothing to do with our righteous works. our entrance fee is paid for fully by Jesus and his perfect sacrifice. But Scripture is clear that our treasure in heaven is connected to our lives on earth. It is possible to go into eternity with a saved soul and a wasted life.

    To quote the words of Maximus from Gladiator – quite possibly the best movie ever made – “What we do in life echoes in eternity”

    Excerpt from The Gifts and Ministries of the Holy Spirit by Lester Sumrall:

    The gifts of the Spirit function wherever they meet – whether it is in a church, a home, an office building, an auditorium, or a convention hall. –

    This clearly demonstrates that God has no holy places. He will meet you anywhere – the home, the factory, the street – wherever you are.

    From AW Tozer’s Book: Pursuit of God

    Page 53: Imagination projects unreal images out of the mind and seeks to attach reality to them.Faith creates nothing. It simply reckons upon that which is already there.

    Page 55: But we must avoid the fault of pushing the ‘other world’ into the future. It is not future but present, It parallels our familiar physical world and the doors between the two worlds are open.
    Page 56: As we begin to focus upon God, the things of the spirit take shape before our inner eyes. Obedience to the word of Christ will bring an inner revelation of the Godhead. (John 14:21-24)
    ———–
    John 14:21-24: Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

    Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”

    Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

    Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.

    Excerpt from A.W. Tozer’s book – Purpose of Man Designed to Worship:

    “God made man to be like Him so that man could give more pleasure to God than all the other creatures. Only in man, as created by God, can god admire Himself. Man is the mirror image in which God looks to see Himself. Man is the reflection of the glory of God, which was the purpose and intention of God originally. Man’s supreme function through all eternity is to reflect God’s highest glory and that God might look into the mirror called man and see His own shining there. Through man God could reflect His glory to all creation”

    A letter from “Jesus”….. source: Internet e-mail making the rounds- author unknown but inspiring

    I love you regardless of how well you are performing. Sometimes you feel uneasy, wondering if you are doing enough to be worthy of My Love. No matter how exemplary your behavior, the answer to that question will always be no. Your performance and My Love are totally different issues, which you need to sort out. I love you with an everlasting Love that flows out from eternity without limits or conditions. I have clothed you in My robe of righteousness, and this is an eternal transaction: Nothing and no one can reverse it. Therefore, your accomplishment as a Christian has no bearing on My Love for you. Even your ability to assess how well you are doing on a given day is flawed. Your limited human perspective and the condition of your body, with its mercurial variations, distort your evaluation.
    Bring your performance anxiety to Me, and receive in its place, My Unfailing Love. Try to stay conscious of My loving Presence with you in all that you do , and I will direct your steps.
    Jeremiah 31:3; Isaiah 61:10; Psalm 31:16; Psalm 107:8

    With you very own hands you formed me; now breathe your wisdom over me. Psalm 119:73 MSG
    Listen closely, Jesus’ love does not depend on what we do for him. Not at all. In the eye of the King, you have value simply because you are. You don’t have to look nice or perform well, Your value is inborn.
    You are valuable…not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are. Remember that.
    God takes you however he finds you. No need to clean up or climb up. Just look up.

    3-24-2010 Wednesday Night Bible Study – ALFC – Dr. Mary Ellen Strong

    The Option is Yours

    The day finally came and one by one we were called
    To stand before God in the Great Judgement Hall.
    The books were all opened and our record was there;
    It was too late to be sorry and no time for a prayer.

    As I stood before Him and looked in His face,
    My life came before me and what a disgrace.
    I had spent my life fulfilling all my desires,
    I had my Heaven on earth – I didn’t fear Hell’s Fires.

    He looked into my eyes and He said to me,
    Did it occur to you there is an eternity?
    I gave you a talent – you never used it for me.
    You only used your talent – a living to make;
    Earth’s glitter and gleam made your soul forsake.

    He said my child – didn’t you know that all the gold is mine;
    The cattle, hills, and I even own time.
    You could have served me without sin in your life;
    Enjoying all my peace with health and no strife.

    My son came to earth this story to tell,
    He told you the pay days of heaven and Hell,
    He made you a way of escape from a life of sin.
    He left the door open for you to come in.

    But you slammed the door in My Son’s face,
    Now you stand before me in this Hallowed Place.
    You chase the place while you lived on earth,
    The option you chose from the day of birth.
